Campionati del Mondo (+ Europei) IAU 24 ore su strada 2015. Pubblicato il nuovo GIS (General Information Sheet)

Il Campionato del Mondo ed Europeo 24 ore su strada della IAU, che si svolgerà a Torino il prossimo 11-12 aprile 2015, dopo il passaggio di mano da un LOC all'altro, si sta rimettendo in carreggiata, in una corsa contro il tempo.

E' stato pubblicato il nuovo GIS (General Information Sheet) con tutte le informazioni necessarie alle delegazioni nazionali (sistemazioni albergherie, indirizzi, programma dell'intera manifestazione).

All the team managers will have received the following email from FIDAL yesterday evening about the latest arrangements and all teams have now been allocated their hotel in Turin.

“Dear Friends,

we are very pleased to send you attached the General Information Sheet for the IAU 24h World and European Championships to be held in Torino on 11 and 12 April.

As most of you know, two weeks ago ,due to unfortunate and unexpected circumstances, the former LOC of the Championships withdrew the organisation ,and the Italian Athletics Federations together with the club CUS Torino decided to take over as organisers of the event.

As you can imagine these last two weeks have been very busy for us, but we are doing our best in order to guarantee the best possible event .

In particular the Italian Club CUS Torino has taken charge of all organisational aspects and, despite the difficulties and thanks to its excellent skills in events management, has managed to guarantee the carrying out of the event.

We thank you so much for your patience and understanding and look forward to seeing you in Torino for a successful edition of the Championships!

Campionato del Mondo (+ Europeo) IAU 24 ore 2015. La macchina organizzativa, dopo il passaggio di mano, si è rimessa in moto

La macchina organizzativa del Campionato del Mondo (+ Europeo) IAU 24 ore su strada, in porgramma per l'11-12 aprile 2015, dopo il passaggio di mano nella gestione organizzativa da ASD Il Giro d'Italia Run al tandem FIDAL Piemonte/CUS Torino, si è rimessa in moto, per quanto tardivamente.
Il comunicato del 2 aprile 2015, a firma di Hilary Walker, segretario generale della IAU, e di seguito riportato sta a testimoniarlo.

IAU 24H World and European Championships, Turin, 11/12^th April 2015. Accommodation and Course Update 2^nd April 2015.

Accommodation details are now being finalised for those teams who had not been invoiced and paid previously and the course details are confirmed.

Most teams have now received the estimated accounts from FIDAL/CUS Torino and should return the agreed invoice with payment as soon as possible to get the final details. For the athletes and team management, I can confirm that the course measurements have been finalised and the IAU Label awarded. Apart from the first lap, the course lap is exactly 2 km and I attach the course measurement details and the google map version. The first lap is required to accommodate the large start before the entry/exit to the stadium is used. As described in the GIS the refreshment tables will be along the length of the Viale Hugues. For those concerned about the u-turn, this section enables the course measurement to be exactly 2000m ( and 1700m for the first lap) and is at a wide section of road so that it can be taken wide if wished and I saw that it worked well for the test 6H race in March.

Ed ecco il comunicato stampa di conferma della FIDAL. La rassegna iridata di ultramartona, valida anche per l'assegnazione dei titoli europei della specialità, si disputerà regolarmente a Torino l'11 e il 12 aprile 2015 Confermata l’organizzazione dei Campionati Mondiali ed Europei di 24 ore di ultramaratona, che si terranno sabato 11 e domenica 12 aprile 2015 al Parco Ruffini di Torino. Grazie all’impegno della FIDAL, del Comitato Regionale FIDAL Piemonte e del CUS Torino l’evento è stato confermato. Convalidato anche il percorso all’interno del parco e la partenza alle ore 10:00 di sabato 11 aprile.

IAU 24H World and European Championships 2015. Diffuso ufficialmente il GIS (General Information Sheet)

Tutti i rappresentanti delle Federazioni nazionali IAU hanno ormai ricevuto The General Information Sheet (GIS), relativo al prossimo Campionato del Mondo IAU 24 ore (27^ edizione), cui è abbinato il 20° campionato Europeo 100 km, e che si svolgerà a Torino tra l'111 e il 12 aprile prossimi, con tutte le necessarie informazioni sulla gara, comprese quelle relative alle sistemazioni e alla logistica.
Questa la news, pubblicata sul sito della IAU il 17.01.2015 (che viene riportato per esteso con inclusi i link che rimandano alla lista degli iscritti, uomini e donne).

IAU 24H World and European Championships, Turin, Italy 11th/12th April 2015.

All IAU Member Federations have been sent the General Information Sheet and the PEF and FEF this afternoon -17th January – with the deadline for the return of the completed PEF by February 1st.

The General Information Sheet (see attached) contains all the information about the race, accommodation and time schedule. Each country will be sent the information about the travel grants which are available for their athletes. We are looking forward to seeing a great turnout of athletes in Turin and we and the Local Organising Committee are hoping that the Federations will respect the deadlines for the PEF February 1st and FEF ( March 1stth) so that the final details and accommodation can be worked out as soon as possible. The early birds will get the most choice!.

Also attached are the latest lists of qualifying 24H performances for travel grants for men and women

The 27th IAU 100km World Championships took place on Nov 21st 2014 in Doha Qatar.

IAU 100 km Asian Championships 2014. Campioni individuali sono Yen-Lung Yu (1° uomo) e Ming-Chu Lu (1^ donna), entrambi provenienti da Taipei in rappresentanza della compagine più numerosa

A Yi Lan (Taiwan) si è svolto il 13 dicembre 2014, nel contesto dell'annuale Yilan Festival Marathon, il Campionato asiatico IAU 100 km. Vi hanno partecipato atleti provenienti dalla Corea del Sud (10 atleti), da Taipe 17 atleti)i, dalla Mongolia (3 atlete) e dallo Sri Lanka (un atleta), nel contesto della open race che ha visto un totale di 456 partecipanti.
Condizioni climatiche ottimali. Temperatura mite, non troppa umidità.

La gara si è svolta lungo entrambe le rive del Dongshan River, su piste cilabili.
Campioni individuali si sono laureati Yen-Lung Yu (1° uomo) e Ming-Chu Lu (1^ donna), entrambi provenienti da Taipei in rappresentanza della compagine nazionale più numerosa

The IAU 100 km Asian Championships took place on December 13 in Yi Lan, Taiwan.

Please read the underlying report by the Race Director, Frank Kuo.

This event was organized by the Yilan county government and Chinese Taipei Association of Ultrarunners on December 13^th of this year as a part of the yearly Yilan Marathon Festival. This Festival usually consists of a 100 km public race and a 50 km open race.
Athletes from South Korea (7 male, 3 female) , Taipei (9 male, 8 female ) Mongolia (3 female ), and Sri Lanka (1 male) have entered the international 100 km race. A total of 456 runners participated in the 100 km open race and 520 runners participated in the 50 km race.

The race course was held on both coasts of Dongshan River on bicycle paths. All 100 km runners ran to the 10 km turning point and back five times. The weather was fairly refreshing at 12 degrees Celsius during the start of the race and gradually dropped during the race.

As for the results of the 100 km Asian Championships, the top male teams were Chinese Taipei and Korea, consecutively, and the top female teams were Taipei and Mongolia, consecutively.

Regarding the individual results, Yen-Lung Yu from Chinese Taipei came in first, his time is 8:10:48, Sungkyun Kim from South Korea second, and Jonguen Kim from South Korea third for the male category.

For the female category, Ming-chu Lu from Chinese Taipei came in first at 8:55:23, BadamkhatanDovdon from Mongolia came in second, and Wei-chen Lee from Chinese Taipei came in third.

Both male and female Taiwan national records have been broken by runners from the open race.

Migliori prestazioni mondiali assolute (WBP) e per categoria di età (WABP) aggiornate al 2014 sul sito della IAU

Come é noto, la IAU (International Association of Ultrarunners) aggiorna regolarmente le stastitiche di ultramaratona, inserendo tutti i dati provenienti dalle gare di Ultramaratona che si svolgono nel mondo (a condizione che siano gare "certificate", ovvero fornite di Label IAU) e provvede all'aggiornamento annuale delle Migliori prestazioni assolute e per categoria d'età nelle diverse specialità di ultramaratona.
E' recente l'annuncio che sono state aggiornati gli elenchi delle WBP (World Best Performances) e delle WABP (World Age Best Perfomances), rispettivamente Migliori prestazioni mondiali e Migliori prestazioni per categoria d'età a tutto il 2014.

IAU Labels 2015. Le prime richieste di assegnazione delle IAU label sono state esaminate

Come promesso ad ottobre, le prime richieste di assegnazione delle label IAU per il 2015 sono state esaminate e le prime assegnazioni stanno per essere inoltrate ufficialmente.
Ricordiamo qui che i risultati ottenuti nelle gare di ultraamaratona vengono statisticate dalla IAU soltanto nel caso che ciascuna gara abbia fatto richiesta e ricevuto l'assegnazione di una labe (etichetta) IAU, almeno quella base che è la Bronze Label.
La corresponsione dei travel grant agli atleti che fanno parte delle delegazioni nazionali dipende dal fatto che questi atleti abbiano gareggiato nell'anno precedente ed in corso in gare garantite da un'etichetta IAU.

IAU Labels 2015. First applications have now been processed.

As promised in October, the first IAU labels for 2015 have now been processed successfully. A reminder to all athletes and race organisers that for your athletic performances in ultra races to be recognised for the IAU performance rankings, the race requires an IAU label.

The IAU travel grant for athletes for IAU Championships is also be dependent on qualifying performances in IAU labelled races so race organisers are encouraged to apply for IAU label recognition.
An IAU label is also a “must” for any WBP or WABP applications.

Just as a reminder, the IAU label guidelines were revised in 2014 and are attached here.

IAU Career Awards 2014. Resi noti dalla IAU i nomi di coloro che riceveranno per la prima volta uno IAU Career Award

Attribuiti per la prima volta dalla IAU gli "IAU Career Award", degli speciali riconoscimenti "alla carriera per atleti che si sono particolarmente distinti nell'ultramaratona in costanza di risultati nel corso della loro carriera podistica e che sono - in quanto ultramaratoneti - significativi per la nazione che rappresentano e nel consesso internazionale, ma che del pari - con il loro esempio instacabile ed entusiastico - si sono fatti promotori della causa dell'Ultramaratona nel proprio paese.
Insigniti del IAU Career Award 2014 sono i seguenti atleti: il sudafricano Bruce Fordyce, il nipponico Aki Inoue e il norvegese Per Lind.
A tutti loro congratulazioni!
Nel comunicato della IAU che segue sono incluse note biografiche e di curriculum sportivo dei tre atleti designati.

IAU Announces the First Recipients of the Carer Award. This year IAU has initiated an Annual Career Award dedicated for tireless ultraruning enthusiasts who have worked long and hard to increase the profile of national and international ultraruning.

This Award wil be given to individual(s) who have gone beyond their call of duty and have worked really hard in developing and promoting the sport over the years.

It is our pleasure and privilege to announce the recipients of the IAU Carer Award 2014 (in alphabetical order):

1) Bruce Fordyce: Bruce Fordyce is a South African marathon and ultramarathon athlete. He is best known for having won the South African Comrades Marathon a record nine times, of which eight wins were consecutive. He also won the London to Brighton Marathon thre years in a row.

In aditon to having writen two boks about he Comrades Marathon, Fordyce was also a sports columnist for various newspapers and magazines, and a SABC television commentator for the 2014 event. He is also a motivational speaker and the CEO of the South African Sports Trust.

Nowadays, Fordyce is often sen at endurance events such as the Comrades and the 120- kilometre Dusi Canoe Marathon, participating to raise money for charity. In his role as CEO of The Sports Trust, an independent body established in 195, Fordyce has used this avenue to fund sports development in the country.

Fordyce, as both an athlete and an oficial, has increased the profile of the sport.

2) Aki Inoue: Aki Inoue is not a stranger on the international ultrarunning scene. His calm presence on the sidelines of the Japanese national team has ben a constant fixture for over decade now.

Inoue has raised the caliber and the potential of the ultrarunning team by being an involved presence in Japan and a constant voice of raising the bar of Japanese ultraruning. He has ben at the helm of both the national 10 km and the 24 hour teams gaining tremendous suces on both teams, both male and female, and making Japan perenial favourite at al world championships. He has pushed Japanese ultraruning, and in turn world standards up a notch, by constantly selecting athletes who have not only vied for individual tiles but also solidified team dynamics in the process.Through his tremendous hard work and his continuous asistance in increasing the profile of ultraruning we are proud to se him be a part of the international stage.

3) Per Lind: Per Lind is a cornerstone of Norwegian and international ultraruning. An athlete, a coach, a team Manager, an Editor Per is a master of many fields.

He organized the 24-hour ace in Hønefos in 1986 and 1987 which were the first ultra races in Norway. Per also created the Norwegian Asociation of Ultrarunning taking its leadership from 205-2013. In 2007, he worked hard on securing sponsorship for the national teams which remains as the curent sponsor.

Per has traveled throughout Norway helping at ultra races. He has known to work the Ralar Veg race droping bags at he 21 km point, cheering on runners and shouting advice, and then taking the train back to the finish line.

In 2013 Per received an Honorary Award from the Norwegian Asociation of Ultraruning for the lifetime of hard work he has put in recruitng Norwegian ultraruners and building Ultrarunning in Norway into the popular sport it is today.

IAU 100 km World Championships 2015 (28^ ed.). Annuciata ufficialmente la data e la sede che sarà Winschoten (NED)

Il prossimo Campionato del Mondo IAU 100 km 2015 (28^ ed.), si svolgerà il 12 settembre 2015 a Winschoten (Olanda). Dell'evento ha dato notizia ufficiale la IAU nel suo sito web.
Si annuncia così un'edizione del Campionato del Mondo di grande prestigio e in un contesto spettacolare e caratterizzato da un'estrema partecipazione di pubblico, grazie all'esperienza di numerose precedenti edizioni del massimo campionato del mondo nella specialità 100 km.

28th IAU 100km World Championships Announced

The 28th IAU 100km World Championships will take place in Winschoten, the Netherlands.

The race in Winschoten has hosted the world championships several times before and the IAU is looking forward to going back there for our 28th edition. Race date is Sept 12 2015.

More details on the race will be available as we progress through the coming months. In the meantime if you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.
